12 days of movies

After a long day of class or studying at the library, I love returning to my dorm and relaxing with my roommates. One of our favorite pastimes is sitting in our living room and watching movies or TV after we catch up from our day or we want to have a chill night in. No matter what we’re doing, I feel like we always have our TV on. Here’s everything we’ve watched in our college dorm in the past week or so.

The Notebook

Rating: 10/10

Always a classic. I needed a good cry, and one of my roommates had never seen it.

Whiplash

Rating: 8/10

It has Miles Teller in it, but that doesn’t help the lowkey disappointing ending.

Friends With Benefits

Rating: 9/10

Even as a big fan of rom-coms, I had never seen Friends With Benefits, but I’m glad I ended up watching it because it’s funny and a really good story. Justin Timberlake is also a plus.

Elf

Rating: 8/10

November means Christmas movies, in my opinion.

The Wolf of Wall Street

Rating: 10/10

I'm channeling my inner finance bro with this one. Nothing really tops the casting.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Series

Rating: 10/10

We watched the three movies with the original cast; the rating speaks for itself.

All the Bright Places

Rating: 9/10

I liked the book better, but the movie is almost just as good. Definitely cried at both versions of it.

Just Go With It

Rating: 9/10

This rom-com with Adam Sandler is a must-watch because it is genuinely funny and has a good plot. It's not necessarily the most realistic, but it makes for a good girls night movie.

Someone Great

Rating: 5/10

Someone Great has a good plot with a sad story, but it’s a little bit too millennial and cringy for my liking.

Goodfellas

Rating: 9/10

It's one of my favorite movies of all time and a classic everyone needs to watch.

Up

Rating: 9/10

It's a staple from our childhood and a great comfort movie.

Random Episodes of

Gilmore Girls, Pretty Little Liars, Euphoria, and The Vampire Diaries

As teenage girls, we’ve all watched the “staple” TV shows, and I love to rewatch random episodes and put them on as background shows when talking, playing games, or getting ready.
