Spook or Sparkle?

I think we can all agree that the endless amount of people dressed up as mummies, cheerleaders, and vampires every year is getting a little old. Let us help you pop out at this year’s Halloween party with unique costumes that will stand out (or maybe even win you an award!) With inspiration from some of our favorite characters and pop-culture icons, you are sure to love one of these ideas.

Whether you’re celebrating the spookiest day of the year or just looking for an excuse to wear some glam, we’ve got something for you!

1/10: CRUELLA DE VIL

With inspiration from Emma Stone’s character, you can be the fashion villain you’ve always dreamed to be. No Cruella look is complete without her infamous black and white hair, so a wig is a necessity! Grab your favorite red lipstick and fur coat and you are ready, my darling!

 2/10: ALT. DOROTHY

Think Wizard of Oz meets Y2K fashion. Ditch the sundress and red slippers for a white fur top, gingham skirt, and knee-high sparkly boots. And don’t forget your accessories – a basket, bows, or even a small dog to borrow for the night

 3/10: CARRIE

You may need a tide pen after this one. Channel you inner 80’s prom queen in a

sexy white dress and tiara. Grab some fake blood (or pig blood if you’re truly dedicated) to finish off the look.

4/10: FAIRY

You simply can never go wrong with this one. Whether you chose to be a dark/evil fairy or total princess vibes, you are sure to look bomb. Pair a satin, lace detail dress with fun makeup and glitter. With a little pixie dust, you’re ready to fly into the night!

5/10: MR. & MRS. SMITH

Got a Boo? This is the costume for you. This couple's costume is guaranteed to make you feel like a badass. And let’s be honest, who doesn’t look in a little black dress or suit.

 6/10: HARRY STYLES @ Coachella

PINK, PINK, AND PINK!  We’re talking fur coat and all. Bonus points if you can find a friend to recreate Lizzo’s iconic pink outfit for the ultimate duo.

 7/10: TOP GUN MAVERICK

Are you ready to take off on your craziest adventure yet? Grab your bomber jacket and a pair of aviators and prepare for take-ff!

 8/10: FAV EUPHORIA CHARACTER

This show has too many gorgeous looks to pick just one, so we’ll leave that up to you! But whoever you choose, these things are a must: glitter, vibrant color, and a ‘that bitch’ attitude (… and probably more glitter). No matter your makeup skills, this look is all about fun and confidence!

 9/10: PENNYWISE

If you feel inclined to scare the sh*t out of everyone, Pennywise is the costume for you. Make it hot with a corset top and tutu or go get spooky with some red & white makeup and oversized teeth. Whichever you choose, just don’t follow any other clowns into the sewer.

 10/10: ICE QUEEN

A costume for the cold-hearted girls. Give yourself some fun blue makeup and hair with some sparkly details. Throw in some white costumes and an icicle crown and you’re a stone cold b!tch.

While there's nothing wrong with sticking to the basics, why not craft a clever costume that surely no one else is wearing!
