Columbia’s Most Picturesque Bar and Restaurant

Columbia’s bar scene isn’t always pretty. So when Hendrix opened it’s doors in 2019, it’s skyline view and hand-crafted cocktails made it a must try spot. Located on the corner of Blanding and Main, this restaurant and rooftop bar is surely a place you’ll want to bring your camera.

The main dining room displays an idyllic setting with a grand bar. The menu is flooded with uniqueness, beginning with the range of appetizers from oysters on the half shell, to house-smoked trout. If you aren’t a fan of seafood, the menu also includes the staples like flash-fried Brussels sprouts and burrata with grilled bread. One aspect of their menu that makes the restaurant perfect for a social setting are the shareable small plates, which come in a variety of different options like artisanal cheeses, shishito peppers and baked mussels.

The view from Hendrix’s rooftop bar

The rooftop bar is what Hendrix is really known for. Here you can get a full view of Columbia’s skyline while having a cocktail at the bar, or sitting at a table and ordering from the daily selection of small plates. The atmosphere is designed for an intimate gathering, with comfortable couches surrounding two fire pits. The cocktail menu features specialty cocktails like the Leite Lemonade, made up of Brazilian rum and traditional Brazilian limeade, and their signature drink, the Hendrix Spritz, which is a combination of cucumber juice, toasted celery seed, coriander syrup, and Dolin Blanc. While these crafted cocktails are meant for drinking, you will want to take a picture before you take your first sip.
